Nobody may attach asbestos-containing material to, or install it in, a vehicle, aircraft, ship, plant, building or structure; must not replace any part of these with asbestos-containing material; and must not re-use any asbestos (the re-use ban is subject to the r 217 exclusions). Where fixed or installed asbestos must be replaced, a non-asbestos material is to be used. Penalty: 100 penalty units (natural person) or 400 penalty units (body corporate).
