Selling asbestos is prohibited. The only carve-out is asbestos that was already fixed or installed on 31 December 2003 in a vehicle, aircraft, ship, building, structure or plant, plus the r 217 exclusions. Penalty: 100 penalty units (natural person) or 400 penalty units (body corporate).
