Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 s72-2: s 72(2) and (3) Committee membership and functions

At least half of the committee members must be employees of the employer, and those should be HSRs or deputy HSRs where practicable. The committee's functions are to: (a) help employer and employees cooperate in starting, developing and carrying out measures for employees' health and safety at work; (b) develop, review and communicate to employees, in other languages where appropriate, the health and safety standards, rules and procedures for the workplace; and (c) carry out any other functions prescribed or agreed between employer and committee.
