Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 s44-1: s 44(1) and (6) Keep DWG negotiations and agreements to the permitted particulars

Negotiations to set up DWGs of one employer, and any resulting agreement, may cover only these matters: (a) how employees at one or more workplaces are grouped, choosing a grouping that best and most conveniently lets their health and safety interests be represented and protected and that best allows each member to reach an HSR; (b) how many HSRs each DWG has, being one or more; (c) how many deputy HSRs, if any; (d) the term of office of each HSR and deputy, not longer than 3 years; and (e) whether the HSRs may additionally act for contractors engaged by the employer, or a class of such contractors,, and their employees, who work where DWG members work. An agreement must not deal with anything else (s 44(6)). An employee or group may be represented in negotiations by anyone they authorise (s 44(5)).
