Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 s112-5: s 112(5) Comply with a prohibition notice

A person issued a prohibition notice must comply with it, not carrying on the prohibited activity, or not carrying it on in the specified way (at a specified place, with a specified thing or by a specified procedure), until an inspector gives written certification that the risk-causing matters are fixed. Maximum penalty: 500 penalty units for an individual, 2500 for a body corporate; indictable but may be heard summarily. Applying for review does not suspend the notice unless a stay is granted (s 128(6)).
