Victoria Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 s111-4: s 111(4) Comply with an improvement notice

A person issued an improvement notice must comply with it, fixing the breach or likely breach, or whatever matters or activities are causing it, by the date and any time specified, and following any directions or interim conditions included. Where the notice directs that an activity stop if not remedied in time, it may not resume until an inspector certifies the remedy in writing. Maximum penalty: 500 penalty units for an individual, 2500 for a body corporate; indictable but may be heard summarily.
