A permit applicant or holder submits properly prepared plans and specifications for review and approval before constructing a food establishment, converting a structure into one, or remodeling or changing the type of establishment or operation where the regulator decides plans are needed (Pf). As the regulator requires for the operation, plans include the intended menu, expected food volumes, layout, mechanical schematics, construction materials and finish schedules, equipment types, makers, models, locations, dimensions, capacities and installation specifications, evidence that a food safety management system ensuring Code compliance is developed or being developed (2026 wording), and other information the regulator needs.
