US FDA Food Code 2026 6-401-6-405: 6-401 to 6-405 Location and placement of facilities

Handwashing sinks are conveniently located as 5-204.11 requires. Toilet rooms are conveniently located and accessible to employees during all hours of operation. Areas where employees eat, drink and use tobacco are located so food, equipment, linens and single-service articles are protected, and lockers are in a designated room or area where they cannot contaminate food or clean items. Products held for credit, redemption or return, such as damaged, spoiled or recalled items, are segregated in designated areas away from food, equipment, utensils, linens and single-service articles (Pf). Refuse, recyclable and returnable storage is located as 5-501.19 requires.
