US FDA Food Code 2026 6-301: 6-301 Handwashing sinks: cleanser, drying, signage and receptacles

Handwashing sinks are provided as 5-203.11 requires. Each sink or pair of adjacent sinks has hand cleaning liquid, powder or bar soap (Pf) and a hand drying provision: individual disposable towels, a continuous towel system supplying a clean towel, a heated-air dryer, or an air-knife dryer (Pf). Food preparation, utensil washing and service sinks are not fitted with handwashing aids, so they are not used for handwashing. A clearly visible sign or poster reminding food employees to wash their hands is at every handwashing sink they use, and sinks with disposable towels have a waste receptacle.
