UK HM Treasury Sustainability Reporting Guidance 2026-27 (FReM) D.19-D.21: Other KPIs material to strategic policy objectives: reporting them is mandatory on a comply-or-explain basis, with other GGC metrics and Defra's environmental KPI guidance as sources, and the entity responsible for identifying any further regulatory, legislative or policy reporting requirements

What does D.19-D.21 require?

What goes into the annual report can also be dictated by regulation, legislation, policy and, where fitting, private sector best practice, and it falls to each reporting entity to identify those further requirements for itself. This guidance calls for disclosure of material topics and information in the annual report context, for instance effects on strategic objectives, and the other commitment metrics and targets may help meet that call. Defra's environmental KPI guidance can help in choosing indicators, and reporting on whatever other KPIs are material to meeting the body's strategic policy objectives is mandatory on a comply-or-explain basis.
