South Korea AI Basic Act 33: Review in advance whether the AI is high-impact, and request confirmation where needed

What does 33 require?

Before providing an AI-based product or service, the operator reviews whether the AI concerned counts as high-impact AI under the Act's definition, and may ask the Minister to confirm the classification; the Minister confirms on request, may convene a specialist committee for advice, and may publish guidelines with criteria and examples. Procedures are set by Presidential Decree.
