An AI business operator is to make efforts to obtain verification and certification that its high-impact AI is safe and reliable, through the voluntary verification and certification schemes run by AI organisations, before providing it. The Minister supports those schemes (guidelines, research, equipment, talent) and may give SMEs information and administrative or financial help with certification; national institutions intending to use high-impact AI are to give priority to verified and certified products and services.
