While the tenancy continues the lessor maintains the premises so they remain fit to live in, keeps the premises and inclusions in good repair, ensures health and safety laws are complied with, keeps any common area clean, and keeps the premises and inclusions compliant with the prescribed minimum housing standards; routine repairs are made within a reasonable time after the tenant's notice (the tenant may otherwise seek a repair order under ss 221 to 221C).
