Within 5 business days after entering a regulated contract the contractor must give the owner a readily legible signed copy, including plans and specifications (60 penalty units). For a level 2 contract, within 10 business days of starting work on site the contractor must give the owner a signed commencement notice stating the start date and the date for practical completion (40 penalty units).
