A licensed company that ceases to have a nominee or changes its nominee must notify the Commission within 14 days with the prescribed information (20 penalty units). A licensed contractor may carry on business in partnership with an unlicensed person only if: only the licensed contractor enters contracts or makes offers or tenders for building work; each contract, offer or tender is signed by the licensed contractor and endorsed with the other partners' names; advertising states the licensed name and meets regulation requirements; and the unlicensed partner is not an excluded, permanently excluded, banned or disqualified individual, a convicted company officer, an excluded company or a company with such a person as director, secretary, influential person or nominee. Each partner commits an offence if a condition is breached (80 penalty units, or 200 for the excluded-person condition).
