Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 s43B-43C: ss 43B and 43C Construction managers ensure trade contractors' work is personally and adequately supervised

Where a construction manager provides building work services to a principal under a construction management contract, the construction manager (and, for a company, also its nominee) must ensure the building work done by licensed contractors under the principal's construction management trade contracts is personally supervised by the nominee, a suitably licensed officer or employee, or an individual holding a contractor's licence of the relevant class, and is adequately supervised against the same factors as s 43A (supervision system, adherence to plans, competent standard, sufficiency of control and inspections, completion check before final payment). Maximum penalty 200 penalty units for an individual and 1,000 for a company.
