Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 s54A: s 54A Notify notifiable incidents and safety notice breaches on sites under the licensee's control

A licensee who becomes aware that a notifiable incident has occurred on a building site under its control or where it is doing building work must notify the Work Health and Safety regulator, and one who becomes aware that a person on such a site has contravened or is contravening a notice or injunction under Part 10 of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 or Part 11A of the Electrical Safety Act 2002 must notify the Commission. Incidents the licensee already must report as a person conducting a business or undertaking under those Acts are excluded. Notice is given in the fastest way possible, by telephone or in writing; a telephone notifier must give the details requested and, if required, written notice within 48 hours, in the approved form. Maximum penalty 100 penalty units.
