A termination notice is in writing, signed by the party or its agent, and states the premises, the termination date by which vacant possession is to be given and (except for tenant notices under ss 96 and 97) the ground, plus any prescribed matter. A landlord giving a termination notice also gives the tenant a termination information statement (the approved form) explaining how tenancies end, notice requirements, the supporting documents needed, the offences in ss 85 and 86, the tenant's right to go to the Tribunal and how to contact NSW Fair Trading.
