A person who opens an exhibition home for inspection, or advertises it as open, commits an offence unless, whenever it is open, a copy of its plans and specifications is prominently displayed at the home together with the standard form building contract, if the person knows that form will be used for contracts to build similar homes. Where a licence holder contracts to build a dwelling similar to an exhibition home, knows the owner inspected it first, and the contract identifies the dwelling by reference to it, the contract is taken to require the same plans and specifications, workmanship and materials as the exhibition home except for departures the contract documents set out. Maximum penalty 80 penalty units for a corporation and 40 otherwise.
