NSW Food Regulation 2025 79: Operate meat vans to AS 4696:2023 Part 8 (transport), extended to poultry, rabbit, ratite, crocodile and game meat and their products

What does 79 require?

A van carrying abattoir or game meat (other than a game meat field harvesting van) must comply with the transport part of AS 4696:2023 (Part 8), which the regulation extends to poultry, rabbit, ratite and crocodile meat, game meat and products derived from them.

100-102 Hold issued meat brands in a locked place accessible only to the licensee and inspector, report a lost or stolen brand immediately and hand back the rest, and return brands and equipment within 7 days of the licence ending

74 Slaughter for people only abattoir or game animals, process for people only abattoir or game meat, and make processed meat only from inspector-passed meat
