Procurement contracts for distribution equipment should require compliance with the EMC Regulations. The installer should give the designer a technical file showing good engineering practice and any concessions. Designers and specifiers should give purchasing a detailed EMC specification so suppliers know their obligations, and equipment should come with an EMC declaration of conformity and be installed and maintained to good EMC practice; ME equipment should have adequate immunity and limited emissions.
