Netherlands Works Councils Act (WOR) 33: Art. 33 Institute central and group works councils where they serve the Act's proper application

An entrepreneur that has instituted two or more works councils also sets up a central works council for the undertakings concerned, and one with more than two councils sets up a group works council for a number of them, in each case where conducive to proper application of the Act; the same applies to entrepreneurs connected in a group, who designate one of them to act as the entrepreneur. Under art. 35 the central or group council handles only subjects shared by all or the majority of the undertakings, and the consultation, advice, consent and information rules (arts 22a to 32) apply to it; powers over such matters pass from the local councils to it.
