NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System WST-9: Evidence recovery pathways for the Material Recovery Score

What does WST-9 require?

Chapter 9: the Material Recovery Score, now part of every rating, adjusts the score for documented recovery pathways. A stream counts only with a collector statement that at least 70 % of collections went to a recognised facility (reprocessor, materials recovery facility, charity, transfer station or take-back point), verified against delivery dockets for every collection in two separate weeks (or GECA certification). Mixed streams need composition audit splits performed or supervised by an assessor. Pathways (closed loop, open loop, downcycling, unverified, disposal) are supported by evidence tiers: next collection point, aggregator statement with dockets for 70 % of transfers, or full chain of custody with a reprocessor statement.
