3.1 and 3.6: waste data is uploaded to the NABERS Waste Platform and verified by an assessor; owners must not promote a result until certified. For every application the assessor visits during the rating period or within 120 days after, confirming the platform's bin configuration matches reality, all core streams are set up, practices make the data reasonable, counting collected and empty bins and observing weighing. Visits may be delegated only to another Waste-accredited assessor; supervised ratings require the assessor personally, with at least one density and one contamination audit. Where one truck collects several streams the weights are one service for those nights, and if routine the streams are one mixed stream at the lowest material recovery value; clearly mislabelled or over-contaminated streams may be assigned to landfill.
