3.1, 3.2 and 3.3: an Indoor Environment rating is a base building rating (landlord-controlled thermal services, air quality and acoustics by measurement), a whole building rating (thermal services, air quality, acoustics, lighting and office layout, by measurement plus an Occupant Satisfaction Survey) or a tenancy rating (air quality, acoustics, lighting and office layout, measurement plus survey), weighted per Table 3.2.2 (for example base building thermal 40, air 40, acoustics 20). The rating period is 12 months ending on the last spot measurement, or bounded by the annual temperature data where used; ratings are lodged within 120 days and are valid up to 12 months, never past 485 days after the period. All data (annual measurements, survey, spot measurements, laboratory results) must come from within the same rating period, and the 7-year record keeping and prior approval of alternative methods apply as in the other Rules.
