Energy and Water for Offices Rules v5.2 – NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System

NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System EWO-C.3: Adjust rating periods and choose renew or replace for successive ratings correctly

What does EWO-C.3 require?

Appendix C.3 and C.4: after lodgement the rating period may move by at most 62 days, otherwise a new rating is needed, and the rating must follow the Rules current at lodgement. A premises with a current rating takes the next one by replace (new rating valid on certification, the old one's remaining validity lost) or renew (new validity starts when the old expires, still capped at 485 days after the new rating period, so the new period should end no more than 120 days before that start). Only ratings of the same scope and type renew or replace each other; in a co-assess application all ratings share one validity period, renew or replace is offered only through a base building energy (first) or whole building energy rating, and tenancy ratings are never renewed or replaced.
