4.3: for base and whole building ratings the NLA of all spaces leased or available for lease as offices is considered; for a tenancy rating, the NLA of the complete tenancy, with tenancies of one government jurisdiction (not government corporations) rateable as one or separately. The assessor verifies the NLA was measured to the measurement standard for rated area by, in order of preference, a third-party survey or lease documents explicitly based on it, direct measurement from current scaled plans, or site measurements verified by the assessor, checks on site that the configuration during the rating period matches (for example corridors added for multi-tenancy) and that the standard was interpreted correctly. An unverified tenancy schedule is not acceptable; unverifiable areas are added to the potential error for area.
