4.6.2: public-facing spaces within the NLA such as enquiry desks, courier counters and reception areas are included only up to 10 % of the net office NLA (total office NLA less public access space), the maximum being net office NLA divided by 0.9 less net office NLA, calculated on the aggregate of included spaces rather than per floor or tenancy; the excess is excluded. Foyers and other non-NLA or negotiated public spaces are never included. The assessor records the measurements and reports whether the cap was exceeded and by how much.
