Energy and Water for Offices Rules v5.2 – NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System

NABERS - National Australian Built Environment Rating System EWO-4.5.6: Exclude functional spaces without consumption data, with the required evidence

What does EWO-4.5.6 require?

4.5.6: where acceptable data or estimates of a space's energy or water are unavailable for reasons outside the assessor's and customer's control, including where estimates would exceed the 5 % potential error, the space is excluded from the rated area; examples are tenant bills that cannot be obtained from departed or refusing tenants (with the CBD Program notified for a disclosure rating), utility or non-utility metering that cannot supply the coverage, and tenant supplementary air conditioning meeting base building standards without data. Spaces lacking only hours data are not excluded but use another hours method. Evidence of refusal, or of repeated unsuccessful contact by phone or email allowing at least 2 weeks for a reply, and for disclosure ratings the written notice to the CBD team, must be retained.
