Section 20: an accredited assessor assessing a disclosure affected building or area for a certificate must work out the proposed energy efficiency rating and perform the lighting assessment by applying the methods determined under s 21, and comply with the conditions of accreditation. The owner, lessor, lessee, sublessor and sublessee may recover damages in court for loss caused by a failure. Failure to apply the methods also grounds suspension or revocation (ss 28 and 30), and false or misleading information requires revocation.
