Section 12: while an offer or invitation for a disclosure affected building or area is open, a constitutional corporation with a good-faith interest in buying, leasing or subleasing may require by written notice that the owner or lessee give it a copy of a current registered certificate; the notice cannot be given where the proposed lease or sublease term is 12 months or less throughout, including options (s 12(5A)). The person notified must comply as soon as reasonably practicable (s 12(6)); civil penalty 350 penalty units for an individual and 1,000 for a body corporate.
