When advertising the terms of mail-order sales (orders by post, telephone, internet and the other ordinance methods), the seller shows: the price (with shipping if not included); payment timing and method; delivery or performance timing; any application period; the withdrawal and cancellation (return) terms including any special term under Article 15-3; and the ordinance items (Regulation Article 23): name, address and telephone number; for online advertising by a corporation, the name of the representative or the person responsible for mail-order business; for foreign sellers, any office in Japan; other charges payable; any non-conformity liability terms; system requirements for software and digital content; for contracts that must be concluded two or more times (subscriptions), that fact with amounts, period and other terms; other special conditions such as quantity limits; any fee for a requested document; and an email address when sending email advertisements. Shipping must be stated as an amount, delivery as a period or deadline, and return terms clearly legible (Regulation Article 24). Some items may be omitted if the advertisement offers to supply them promptly on request, subject to the Regulation Article 25 limits.
