RR Chapter III: Coordination, notification and recording of frequency assignments – ITU Radio Regulations and Space Security Standards

ITU Radio Regulations and Space Security Standards RR8: RR Article 8: Status of frequency assignments recorded in the Master International Frequency Register

What does RR8 require?

International rights and obligations in respect of frequency assignments derive from recording in the Master Register or conformity with a plan, conditioned by the Regulations (8.1); an assignment recorded with a favourable finding under No. 11.31 has the right to international recognition, which other administrations must respect when making their own assignments (8.3); a non-conforming assignment is recorded for information only when the notifying administration undertakes to operate under No. 4.4 (8.4); and a station using an assignment not in conformity with No. 11.31 must, on being advised, immediately eliminate harmful interference it actually causes to a station whose assignment conforms (8.5).
