Where use of a recorded space station assignment, or of all space stations of a non-GSO system, is suspended for more than six months, the notifying administration informs the Bureau of the suspension date, and must bring the assignment back into use within three years of the suspension, informing the Bureau as soon as possible; late notice of the suspension shortens the three years, and notice more than 21 months after suspension means cancellation. Bringing back into use follows the 90-day rules for GSO and non-GSO FSS, MSS and BSS assignments (11.49.1, 11.49.2, with Resolution 40 and Resolution 8) and deployment rules otherwise (11.49.3, 11.49.4); if the declaration is not received within 30 days of the end of the suspension period the entry is cancelled.
