Part 122: Registration of manufacturers and exporters – ITAR - International Traffic in Arms Regulations

ITAR - International Traffic in Arms Regulations 122.4(c)-(d): Transfer registrations, licences and agreements correctly after a merger or acquisition

What does 122.4(c)-(d) require?

When a registrant merges, acquires or is acquired, the new entity must tell DDTC the new and previous names, the surviving and discontinued registration numbers, and the licence numbers on which unshipped balances will be shipped under the surviving registration, since unnotified licences are treated as invalid; it must also file, within 60 days, signed amendments to approved agreements naming the new party, or they may be treated as invalid; substantive amendments need prior approval (122.4(c)-(d)).
