The business requirements specification, produced in line with the project's policies and organized as its information management policies allow, describes at organization level why the organization is pursuing new or changed business and how the proposed system will help meet business objectives (9.3.2); defines the business domain by name, the range of business activities in it (in terms of organizational divisions, directly related external entities or the functions performed, showing entities outside the scope) and the scope of the new or modified system, with the assumed set of activities it will support (9.3.3); describes the major internal divisions and external entities and how they interrelate, preferably as a diagram (9.3.4); and lists the major stakeholders or classes, with the influence each has on the organization and its business or its link to building and running the system (9.3.5).
