ISO 50001:2018 - Energy Management Systems 4.2: Understanding the needs and expectations of interested parties

Determine which interested parties matter to energy performance and to the EnMS, what they require that is relevant, and which of those needs and expectations the EnMS will deal with. Make sure the organization can reach the legal and other requirements that apply to its energy use, energy consumption and energy efficiency, work out how they apply, take them into account, and review them at defined intervals. Amendment 1:2024 adds a note that relevant interested parties may have requirements connected with climate change.
