Clause 9: Phase 4, Deliver value – ISO 37500:2014

ISO 37500:2014 9.11: Value and business case assurance

What does 9.11 require?

Set up, and keep up, procedures that assess the value realised from the outsourced service: the original business case set expectations of service and value, and progress against them should have a baseline and be tracked and measured for the whole of delivery, both parties installing the process. Activities: maintain and review the business case; establish the performance baseline (first set at pilot and handover); document the value analysis and share it with the provider to facilitate improvement; identify improvement areas; and take part in continual improvement programmes addressing them; the results go to the strategic committees and to phase 1 to validate the strategy and decide. Success factors: a grounded record of value delivered against goals, value accepted by key stakeholders, improvement areas addressable with the provider. Outputs: business case reports and improvement proposals.
