Under Route 1H the maximum claimable SIL is found by defining the subsystems; determining each element's safe failure fraction individually at zero fault tolerance (redundant configurations may count comparison diagnostics); reading the element's maximum SIL from Table 2 (type A) or Table 3 (type B); combining elements within each subsystem; and taking the lowest subsystem result as the system's maximum SIL. For subsystems of several elements of the same type whose SFFs fall in the same one of the four SFF bands of the tables, the subsystem fault tolerance and SFF may be read straight from Tables 2 and 3. For elements in series the lowest element result governs; for parallel channels with fault tolerance N, each channel is first assessed as a series group, and the best channel's SIL is raised by N.
This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.
Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
The graph holds this control, the 1 it maps to, and the evidence behind each claim, over MCP and REST.
