If the employer does not plan to keep on, after training, a trainee who is a youth and trainee representative, a works council member or a member of another representative body, it must say so to the trainee in writing three months before the training finishes. If the trainee asks in writing in the last three months for continued employment, a permanent employment relationship arises; this also applies where training ends within a year after the term of office. Within two weeks of the end of training the employer may ask the labour court to declare that no employment relationship arose or to dissolve it where continued employment cannot reasonably be expected.
