Members of the works council and the other bodies under the Act (central and combine works councils, youth and trainee delegations, finance committee, conciliation committee, grievance committee and others), and persons supplying information under s 80(2), may not be hindered or disturbed in their work, nor disadvantaged or favoured because of their office, including in their career development. Pay is neither favouring nor disadvantage where the member personally meets the establishment's criteria for it and the decision contains no error of discretion. Violations are criminal offences under s 119.
