The employer bears the costs of the conciliation committee. Assessors from the establishment are not paid extra but are released with pay under s 37(2) and (3); the chair and external assessors are paid by the employer on the basis of time, complexity and lost earnings, the assessors less than the chair, subject to any ministerial order, collective agreement or permitted works agreement.
