Title II: Registration of substances – EU REACH Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006)

EU REACH Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) 7.2: Producers and importers of articles: notify the Agency of candidate list substances above 0.1 % and one tonne

What does 7.2 require?

A producer or importer of articles must notify the Agency where a substance on the candidate list of substances of very high concern is present in its articles above 0.1 % w/w and in quantities totalling more than one tonne a year, within six months of the substance's inclusion in the list, unless it can exclude exposure of humans and the environment in normal and reasonably foreseeable use including disposal (in which case it gives the recipient appropriate instructions), or the substance is already registered for that use. The notification gives the company identity and contact details, any registration number, the substance identity and classification, a brief description of the uses of the substance in the article and of the article, and the tonnage range.
