Title II: Registration of substances – EU REACH Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006)

EU REACH Regulation (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) 5-6: No data, no market: register each substance manufactured or imported at one tonne or more a year

What does 5-6 require?

Substances on their own, in mixtures or in articles may not be manufactured in the Union or placed on the market unless registered where registration is required. Any manufacturer or importer of a substance, on its own or in mixtures, at one tonne or more a year must submit a registration to the Agency with the fee. A manufacturer or importer of a polymer must register any monomer or other substance not already registered up the supply chain where it makes up 2 % w/w or more of the polymer as monomeric units and chemically bound substances and its total quantity reaches one tonne or more a year.
