During partial and final closure all contaminated equipment, structures and soils must be properly disposed of or decontaminated unless 264.197, 264.228, 264.258, 264.280 or 264.310 provide otherwise; by removing hazardous waste or constituents during closure the owner or operator may become a generator and must then handle that waste under Part 262.
