Part 746: Embargoes and other special controls – EAR - Export Administration Regulations

EAR - Export Administration Regulations 746.9: 746.9 Syria

A licence is required to export or reexport to Syria all items subject to the EAR except EAR99 food and medicine, and for deemed exports or reexports of CCL technology or source code to Syrian nationals (EAR99 technology needs none); available exceptions are SPP for EAR99 items, listed TMP provisions, RPL and AVS where they will not support Syrian police, military or intelligence end users, GOV (U.S. Government, cooperating governments, CWC inspections), TSU, BAG and CCD. CCL items receive a presumption of approval for commercial end uses supporting economic development or the Syrian people (telecommunications, water, sanitation, power, aviation, civil services) without significant contribution to military potential or terrorism support, and case-by-case review otherwise, with the Part 742 item policies (other than AT) and all Part 744 controls still applying.

What else in your programme already covers this

This control maps to 1 controls across 1 other frameworks. If you already hold one of them, the evidence you collected for it is the starting point here rather than new work.

Every mapping shown was judged rather than inferred from wording similarity, and the ones that failed review are published too. See the coverage reports and what was rejected.
