Workplace video surveillance – CNIL Guidance on Employee Monitoring and Workplace Video Surveillance

CNIL Guidance on Employee Monitoring and Workplace Video Surveillance VID-2: VID-2 Point cameras at entrances, exits, emergency exits, circulation routes and storage areas, not at workstations

Cameras may cover building entrances and exits, emergency exits, circulation routes and areas where goods or valuables are stored. They must not film employees at their workstation except in particular circumstances (an employee handling cash, where the camera should film the till rather than the cashier; a warehouse of valuable goods where handlers work).
