For goods listed by name the class label follows the list's column 3 and subsidiary labels follow column 4, subject to special provisions in column 6 that may add or remove a subsidiary label. Goods meeting more than one class definition and not listed by name take their primary hazard from Chapter 2.0 and the subsidiary labels from the list. Class 8 packages need no 6.1 subsidiary label where toxicity arises only from tissue destruction, and Division 4.2 packages need no 4.1 label. Class 2 gases use the red 2.1, green 2.2 and white 2.3 labels with subsidiary labels per Table 5.2.2.1.4; for Division 2.2 gases with a 5.1 subsidiary hazard the yellow oxidising gas label may replace the pair for Australian road and rail transport only.
