Combination packagings with inner packagings of liquid dangerous goods, single packagings fitted with vents, closed and open cryogenic receptacles, and machinery or apparatus holding liquid dangerous goods that must stay upright are marked with package orientation arrows on two opposite vertical sides, pointing up, rectangular and clearly visible, matching the Code's illustration or ISO 780. Arrows are not needed for outer packagings of pressure receptacles (other than cryogenic), of inner packagings of 120 ml or less with full absorbent, of Division 6.2 primary receptacles of 50 ml or less, of specified radioactive packages, of leak-tight articles, or of hermetically sealed inner packagings of 500 ml or less. No other arrows may appear on a package marked with orientation arrows.
