A business must not make a false or misleading representation about the existence, exclusion or effect of any condition, warranty, guarantee, right or remedy (including the consumer guarantees), or about a requirement to pay for a contractual right that is wholly or partly equivalent to a right the person already has under legislation, such as selling an extended warranty as if it gave rights consumers lack.
